Ok I really don't have time to blog because my SPA is next week and my Common Tests are in 3 weeks' time. And I have got a lot of work to do. And I need sleep.

It's a shop name.

Wanted to post last night, but was too tired because of my lack of sleep due to Friday's PAE briefing. Fell asleep at 9+ and woke up at 8 this morning, which is so early for me. The PAE briefing yesterday was a waste of time. They held us up for more than 1 hour just to pass us a booklet, a form, and to let us confirm our testimonials.

Because of some extreme luck, I was able to score 6 points for my Prelims L1R5 (without 2 bonus points from CCA), otherwise I would actually have scored 8. The cut-off point for VJC last year was 5, so I guess I will be able to make it to VJC for the first 2 months, because I will also get another 2 bonus points from affiliation (making my L1R5 2).

For the purpose of this post, let's simplify things such that there is only 1 course type (Science course); there are only 3 JCs: RJC (with cut-off point of 3), VJC (with cut-off point of 5) and TJC (with cut-off point of 6); and everybody gets 2 bonus points from CCA. I will be considering both PAE (using Prelim results to get into JCs) and JAE (using 'O' level results to get into JCs).

The bonus points are computed as follows:
1) First Languages: 2 bonus points if both English and Higher Mother Tongue score A1 to C6 (inclusive).
2) CCA: 2 bonus points if CCA scores A1 or A2, 1 bonus point if CCA scores B3 to C6 (inclusive).
3) Affiliation/Loyalty: 2 bonus points for the 1st choice only, if

a) affiliated JC is chosen as 1st choice; or

b) (during JAE only) the same school as the school they were admitted in during PAE, is chosen as the first choice; or

c) both.

[max 4 points from (1), (2) and (3)]

A bit confusing, but if I were to choose VJC as first choice I will get 2 bonus points each from (2) and (3a). If I were to, instead, choose RJC as first choice and VJC as second, then I will only get 2 bonus points from (2), and will not get any bonus from (3) at all because I did not choose VJC as first choice, nor is RJC an affiliated school to VS.

For all who are wondering, I don't take Higher Chinese. I wasn't even offered that subject in the first place. This is totally unfair. I scored B3 for my 'O' level Chinese, and it is not as if there aren't people who take Higher Chinese but score a miserable B3 for their 'O' level Chinese. If I were offered Higher Chinese, I may already have gotten my 2 additional bonus points already, given that I pass my Higher Chinese during my Prelims. I may have at least tried getting my additional 2 bonus points, but I was never given the chance to. And the worst of all is that the number of bonus points is 2, not 1. Every bonus point in the L1R5 is very critical in determining whether anyone can get into a JC of their choice.

There are other factors which are unfair, such as not giving credit for those who did extremely well in a particular subject or CCA, but I shall not elaborate into them.

Anyway, there are some people (in VS) who are very smart. They want to go, and can get into VJC, but in order to play safe, they decide to go TJC for the first 2 months. They claim that if they get into VJC for the first 2 months, they are 'wasting' bonus points! This is what they imagine it as: Person A (who did not take Higher Mother Tongue) scored very well for his Prelims and got into TJC. When his 'O' level result was announced, he realised he scored 10. Now, he may be able to make it to TJC through the JAE. This is because he can get 2 bonus points each from (2) and (3b), bringing his L1R5 down to 6. This may (just nice) grant him entrance to TJC. He cannot make it to VJC though, even if he uses all his bonus points from (2) and (3c), because the cut-off point for VJC is 5. He is still short of 1 point. However, if he had gotten into VJC for the first 2 months, he cannot get into VJC again as he is short of 1 point still. Now here's the mathematics: he cannot get into TJC as well, because he can only enjoy a maximum of 2 bonus points (from (2)), which makes his L1R5 8 - short of 2 points!

Right. Here's where their mathematics ends. We imagine there is this Person B who is even smarter than Person A. He has the same mentality as Person A, and got into TJC for the first 2 months. Now, when he got back his result for 'O' level, he realised he scored an amazing 6 points! Wow! Now he can go anywhere. This is the drawback: if he choose to go VJC, his teachers change, his class changes, the environment changes. He is so used to the environment in TJC that he does not want to leave. His teachers are recommending him to stay in TJC. His seniors and friends from TJC are all bugging him to stay. So where does he go to now? VJC is a better institution (by rank). By staying in TJC, he is depriving himself the opportunity to study in a better school. But he has already made many friends in TJC. Now he is at a cross-road... smart!

There is another group of people in VS who is stuck between RJC and VJC. They claim that they stand a higher chance getting into RJC if they choose RJC as their first choice for the PAE. Then if they do well for 'O' levels, they can again choose RJC as their first choice again and stand a better chance getting in there (4 bonus points probably). Now, let's imagine an unlucky Person X who got into RJC for the first 2 months. When he received his 'O' level result, he realised he scored 7 (and failed his Higher Chinese) for his L1R5. Unable to use his Higher Mother Tongue results for all his choices, he chooses RJC as first choice and VJC as second choice. He will get 4 bonus points for his first choice ((2) and (3b)) and only 2 bonus points for his second choice (the CCA bonus points (2)). So he will be competing against the COP of the respective JCs. But have you ever heard of partial 3 and partial 5? The cut-off point for RJC is 3, but it doesn't mean ALL 3-pointers will get into that JC - only some will. So what if Person X is so unlucky that he is one of those who does not get chosen into RJC (partial 3), as well as VJC (partial 5)? Poor guy.

Now what if the same Person X now decides to choose VJC as his first choice during the JAE? Well, remember Person B I was talking about? This Person X is even worse than him. He is now forced to transfer into a lower-ranking institution because of his score. Well, it's not easy to score 6, you know?

Now we have a Person S who knows what he is doing. He chooses VJC as his first choice for PAE and because he is doing to do so well for his 'O' levels, he can easily choose VJC again during the JAE. Plus he gets to enjoy 2 additional bonus points from the whole of (3). This will leave him with no headaches at all as to which JC to go to. One short and simple choice - VJC. I urge all readers to follow this person S who does not have to worry so much as compared to Persons B and X.

Oh and did I tell you that my name also starts with 'S'?

'O' level is over. I did not feel today was different except that today was more tiring, mainly because my mother just went to Hong Kong yesterday, leaving me as the only person at home. So I have to do all the household chores. And the thing is I just noticed one of the water pipes is partially blocked. Water was flowing at a much reduced pace. Guess what I saw: black colour stuffs which stank like hell. Tried to remove them but gave up halfway because there were just too much. Nah I will just wait for my mother to return. Lazy.

'O' level has finished. I was wondering why so many people were unusually delighted when Mr Wong announced that we were allowed to leave. Some even tore up their entry proof (Mr Wong expected it and told us not to tear up our entry proof and litter in the hall)! Perhaps it was because they put in so much effort into studying for the exams that they were seriously pressurized by it. When 'O' level ends, their pressure is suddenly released, like if you poke a hole into the chamber manufacturing ammonia (it's of 250 times the normal atmospheric pressure), or when your are having gastric pain because you did not eat and you suddenly let a long long fart. Ahhh. For me, I did not really feel anything special mainly because I did not spend much efforts into studying. It also seems like what I will be doing for the rest of the holidays will be the same as what I have been doing these few days - staying online until wee hours, and waking up so late that my first meal of the day is even later than other people's second meal. Maybe I can finally embark on what I want to do after 'O' level, which includes going out more often rather than being cooped up at home.

'O' level has ended. Imagine someone who has no purpose in life just because 'O' level has ended. Before and during 'O' levels, we all say that he has no life because he keeps on studying. But it is after 'O' level when he has no life, because he has nothing to study already. It just seems like he has no purpose in life. Hahahaha. This is said by Neng Wei about Shamir by the way. I find it very funny when he said Shamir has "no purpose in life". It is like someone walking around in the streets alone, doing nothing. And Neng Wei told us that Shamir would usually chase after the bus but today, he did not chase, probably because he has too much free time. Neng Wei even suggested that I introduce Shamir o2jam!

'O' level is gone. Because of this, other people are feeling extremely high and I am taking advantage of that. For instance, I went to Neng Wei's house to play and slack around! Haha. Stayed there for more than 6 hours. Played a lot of o2jam, a bit of FIFA and watched Neng Wei getting thrashed by Sean in DotA. Exam ended in the morning but I only reached home at night. Indeed a long and tiring day.

'O' level has past. Anyone noted the irony here? Throughout this post I kept mentioning that I am not bothered by the fact that 'O' level is over. But in every first sentence of each paragraph I mentioned that it is over. So indeed I am quite happy that 'O' level is over, but actually not so happy as to "tear away my entry proof into pieces" or "sms-ing/blogging to announce to the whole world that 'O' level is over". I will just declare a break.

'O' levels is over... not! I still have 2 MCQ papers left, Physics and Chemistry on the 12th [there is a rumour that there is one more on the 13th but I cannot remember what that is ;)]. Okay just kidding. 3 MCQ papers left, including a Biology one on 13th. It is quite awkward as the MCQ papers are taken after the main papers. I have no idea how much I should study for them since I always score quite high for them (read: the Physics and Chemistry MCQs). In fact, there are many people out there who are more confident than me and have already declared that 'O' levels is over.

The only subject that I am most worried about is my Combined Humanities (Geography Elective). Let's talk about Geography Elective first. I scored a whooping 9½/10 for the Map Reading section for prelims. But for 'O' levels I think I only score a maximum of 7. There were 3 parts to the question. The first one asked for the distance between 2 points. Because the distance was 20+ cm, and my ruler could only measure up to 15cm, I could not draw a straight line across to measure the distance. Neither did I think as imba-ly as Wei Liang to use the edge of the paper to mark out the distance on the map. So I had to resort to using something that is useful in desperate situations: the Pythagoras Theorem! I found the horizontal and vertical length because they gave us the grid reference anyway, and silly me put a 21.42 cm as the distance on the map, after which I multiply by the scale to get my actual distance. Did you spot anything wrong with it? No? Let me give you a hint: can your ruler measure twenty-one point FOUR TWO centimetres? Or is yours a vernier caliper? The second part was a difficult one because it asked for something which I did not study for. So I just wrote some 4 one-sentence paragraphs as my answer. I could not really complete the third part because I could not find many features on the map which "serve communication well".

The second question was on Agriculture, which I hope to score well (this question is probably my only chance of scoring well; read below).

There were choices for the third question. Because I totally banged onto Environment and did not even read through Development and Tourism in the textbook, I had to attempt the most difficult question among the three choices. There was this 8-mark part question asking to explain the differences between renewable and non-renewable resources. And that was the first part of the Environment chapter, and well, I took it as the introduction part so I totally ignored it. Instead, I studied the more interesting (*raises eyebrows*) parts like Deforestation, Pollution, Desertification, Global Warming, Depleted Fish Stocks and Ozone Depletion. If it were a 2-mark question I think I would have scored quite well for the question.

Lesson learnt: ALWAYS study a backup chapter!

Social Studies (SS) was worse. Now, for the syllabus I studied for SS, there are 6 themes. 1 theme will come out for Source-based Questions (SBQ) (which do not require studying of the textbook) and 3 other different themes will come out for Structured-essay Questions (SEQ) (which requires hardcore mugging of the stupid textbooks). So we are only concerned about the SEQ section and not about the SBQ. The safest way is to study 4 themes so that no matter which 3 themes come out for SEQ, there will always be at least 1 theme that will be tested from what you have studied. Of course, if you study 3 themes, there is a very small (in fact, 5%) chance that THE OTHER THREE themes would come out for SEQ. Some people may disagree and say that it is better to study all 6, so that you can choose the easiest question out of the three. But I will tell you angrily to reserve your brain space for other more meaningful stuffs. Now let us just assume that Merger/Seperation of Singapore from Malaysia (one of the themes) will not come out. That was what I assumed, and Merger/Separation really did not come out! In fact, all the SEQ was from the secondary 4 textbook only! So if you study 2 themes, out of the 5 themes left, for the SEQ, there is a 90% chance that one of the themes you have studied would come out. Well, I thought 90% was quite high so I decided to take the risk, and...

Lesson learnt: If you were to decide whether to take a risk such that there is a 90% success, NEVER TAKE IT!!!!

(Actually, if you were to count Merger/Separation in, the chances of having one question coming out from the 2 themes you have studied would be 80%. In that case, DO NOT TAKE A 80% CHANCE RISK!)

Ah well ah well, when I realised the horror, I calmed myself down. I told myself it's only an 'O' level examination. No big deal. So I spent more time thinking through the SBQ instead. As for the SEQ, I still spent much time recalling the points so I did not really complete them.


Here are my predictions for my 'O' level examinations (I sound as if 'O' levels has ended already):

English - A2
E-maths - A1
A-maths - A1
Physics - A1
Chemistry - A1
Biology - A2
Combined Humanities - B3 (I hope!!)

and together with Chinese (B3 for mid years), I think my L1R5 will be around 9. That is around the same as my L1R5 for prelims except that when you look at my prelims score, you need to tilt your head 180 degrees to see my 'O' level score.


Now about the dancer in the last post, it is simply a 2D image of a dancer swivelling horizontally. The shadow of the legs (towards the bottom of the picture) seems to imply that the dancer is rotating counter-clockwise, because when her right leg is towards the background, there is a shadow on the ground, and when her right leg reaches the foreground, the shadow disappears from view. If the dancer is rotating clockwise, the shadow seen when her right leg is in the foreground must be seen when her right leg appears in the background too, but clearly it isn't.

However, to me it just seems like the motion fits more of clockwise than counter-clockwise. When she appears to be rotating counter-clockwise, it seems like she is going to fall any time (but unfortunately she doesn't).

If you can only view it rotating in one direction, what you can do is to tilt your head near 180 degrees (please don't fall off the chair). If you still see it rotating in the same direction, close your eyes for around 5 seconds and look at it again with your head still tilted. Do you see it now?

Oh by the way, the tilting of head is not a prank. That's what I did anyway, and now I can see it rotate both ways (though not simultaneously!). Let's assume you see it rotate clockwise. When you turn your head 180 degrees and look at it upside-down, it should rotate clockwise too (in your upside-down point of view). However, the upside-down point of view is different from the right-way-up point of view, i.e. if you see it rotate clockwise upside down, you should see it rotate counter-clockwise right-way-up. If I want to even play a prank on you, I will go for something more extreme, like... hey, stand up and turn your body counter-clockwise for 10 rounds, then you should see the dancer turn counter-clockwise too! Ha ha!

Is she rotating clockwise or counter-clockwise?

If she's rotating clockwise, you are using more of the right side of your brain. If counter-clockwise, you are using more of the left side.

And I am so happy because it's 12 more hours before I am throwing my Social Studies textbooks out of the window!

(This post was actually meant to be blogged on Saturday night, but I didn't have time so here it is.)

Campus Superstar 2 (CSS2) is all screwed up. Once again it was more of a popularity contest rather than an actual serious singing contest based on judging. I understand that votes contribute to only 30% of the final score, reduced from the 70% as in the first CSS, but still, there was something wrong in deciding the actual CSS2 winner.^[*]

I am doubting the voting system. The way of tabulating the final scores was never revealed. You don't know how heavy the votes may constitute, even though you know it is at 30% of the final score. Let me show you an example:

X scores 90% from the judges. He received 200 votes.
Y scores 80% from the judges. He received 250 votes.

Superficially, if I give you the additional information that scores from the judges constitute to 70% of the total score, then you will say X is definitely the winner. But two of the many cases may occur:

Judges: 90% --> 63%
Votes: 200/250 --> 80% --> 24%
Total: 87%

Y
Judges: 80% --> 56%
Votes: 250/250 --> 100% --> 30%
Total: 86%

X wins

OR

X
Judges: 90% --> 63%
Votes: 75%^[1] --> 22.5%
Total: 85.5%

Y
Judges: 80% --> 56%
Votes: 100% --> 30%
Total: 86%

Even if you may argue that the second voting system is unfair, I may argue that the first is unfair too, and subsequently none are fair. For example, what if we have 5 contestants, receiving different number of votes...

R: 499
S: 400
T: 300

If we use the first voting system, then P may win the competition straightaway (unless he sings really poorly and the judges failed him) because the other contestants' scores were all being pushed down. If we use the second system, then R may not be able to win Q even if he scores better than Q from the judges. In both cases, the voting systems are unfair to some extent (although unfair to different groups of people).

We are actually not looking at the possibility that the judges scores may be twisted to fit the way as it would be in the voting part of the second example. Meaning to say that I am using the score from the judges based on the total percentage they give. The system may change it such that the person with the highest score from the judges gets 100% of the 70%, the second highest gets 90%, next highest gets 80% etc.

Even though the system must be kept constant throughout every round to ensure that there is no biasness, there are still some problems with the system as seen in the above examples. It will be difficult to find a exemplary system such that it will be fair to every contestant. In some way this may contribute to Shawn's success in obtaining the overall CSS2 champion.

Okay enough about voting systems, lest I digress further into the conflict over voting systems between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland prior to 1968. Okay sorry that was random. But whatever the case, looking at Saturday's competition, I can only conclude that Singapore does not know how to vote.

Benjamin should win Shawn due to his singing. Maybe because Benjamin has less supporters than Shawn, he lost. I admit that this is quite a crucial factor in deciding a superstar. It won't help if you have a best voice on Earth, if you don't have supporters, you're useless.

How about Keely? Keely and Shawn scored nearly the same score from the judges (32 and 33 respectively if I'm not wrong, both upon 50). I strong feel that Keely should win the competition rather than Shawn. How can an "aircon" and "someone who forgets his lyrics on stage" win? Furthermore, Shawn has an unfair advantage: his balls haven't descend his voice hasn't broken. Actually, I'd rather see it as a reason for elimination, since 1) he cannot sing low notes, and 2) he may not be able to sing well and sing high^[3] after his ba.. voice breaks.

Some people may say that Shawn is cute. OMG lah this is totally bullshit. Singaporeans should learn how to vote. Based on SINGING, not sympathy like how you see Chen Weilian or a cute puppy on the street. The puppy may carry diseases. Come on, there are many secondary 1s in my school who are much cuter than Shawn. Furthermore, many people in my school think Keely is cute. And Keely shares the same surname as me! That's another reason why I think Keely should win.

If you look at it from a more general point of view, who do you think should win the CSS2 competition? You definitely want a student who is mature and can set an example in singing to all other Singapore students, right? Well, sad to say, Shawn lacks both of the qualities.

All in all, even though I seldom watch CSS2, and I only happened to watch a little bit on Saturday, I could straightaway tell that Shawn does not deserve to win the competition. Not his fault, I would say, but Singapore's fault. Come on, to those people who spent 3-digit, 4-digit and 5-digit sums of money on voting, think about it, aren't you deceiving yourselves?

3) Most male singers make it because they can sing high, and conversely, those who cannot sing high usually cannot make it. There are very few mature males who can actually sing very high.

Japanese animated cartoons distributor sending letters to culprits warning of legal action

PRICES of anime DVDs here are the world's lowest, but fans of these Japanese animated cartoons prefer to get them online - for free. Now they may land in the soup because a crackdown has been launched, and they are the targets for downloading these English-subtitled cartoons through file-sharing networks. Local anime distributor Odex, which brings in the DVDs from Japan, has sent out letters to culprits it has identified as having downloaded these 'fansubs' using the Internet and peer-to-peer systems like BitTorrent. 'Fansubs' are the works subtitled by bilingual fans of anime as a service to the community of non-Japanese-speaking anime fans.

24th December! 1 more day to Christmas and 8 more days to 2007. Of course 10 more days to school reopening.

Someone asked me whether whether I am looking forward to 2007. I said I am neither looking forward nor not looking forward, just let 2007 come. Well, I just have to synchronise myself a bit... going to be secondary 4 already, 'O' levels should be coming in 10 months' time.

These few days I had been sending e-cards to my friends. Got all the email addresses from my address books (MSN Messenger and Yahoo! Mail) and noticed that I have actually quite a lot of friends. I think I sent over 100 yesterday, with different messages for different friends.

Just realised that throughout my life I have known many people, as in really many many people. I may have probably known more than 500 people already, however most of them should have been forgotten or have forgotten me already. Looking through my contacts I noticed that some of them used to be my good friends, now I dun really know where they disappear to already.

So treasure your friends! Even though they may be going separate ways, but at least they remind you of all the wonderful past memories that were experienced together.

Computer sent for repair on Saturday. They say they are sending it back soon. So meanwhile I'm blogging somewhere else.

Saturday night my house suddenly had a power failure. While I was sleeping, I heard the circuit breaker trip and my fan switched off automatically, so went to check. Luckily I read some Physics stuffs on electricity before, then manage to restore it back, but then it tripped again like 1 second later.

Went everywhere to check then managed to find one of the sockets was the cause. Unplugged the plug and solved everything, haha. Then tried to go back to sleep because I was feeling very sleepy.

Went to Malacca from Monday to Thursday for Jubilate II, a choral festival. Reached school at 6++ am and did some admin stuffs before going to Malaysia. Second stop at Malaysia was JusCo shopping centre. Miss Lau lame sia, went in then saw a jewellery shop called "Poh Kong". She was like saying, "Aiya, wasted, why not Pock Thong?" -.- Managed to find the food court after walking around a bit. Den ate and nearing our assembly time Justin, Maung Myo and I had to wait for Peng Hock (all my group members and apartment mates) to buy the cup noodles. Late by 3 minutes but I think Miss Lau was late too haha.

Went to Watercity Resort. Went for a practice with AJChoir and Mr Kwei first before we were issued our room. The only thing that pissed me off that day was when Mr Kwei asked Peng Hock to play the piano part for Gesu Bambino and he simply refused without trying. In the end Mr Kwei had to play and there was no conductor.

Then went back and went to our apartments. Only Eric Wong's group and my group had a 2-room apartment each (fits 4 people), the others stayed in 3-room ones, so many groups had to split. And in each room there were only 2 toilets so we are quite lucky haha. It's quite all right except that it was quite dirty. Haha. Luckily Justin bought a big bottle of water, then we all shared and the bottle was refilled every day. Lol.

Okay so at night was the performance for the 5 sing-along Christmas songs, as well as Gesu Bambino and Gaude Maria. Quite all right lah, except that because I didn't memorise the Christmas songs, and I was on stage for 2 Christmas songs, so I was simply trying to follow the others. I can get the notes but not the words, hehe. The other 3 Christmas songs were sung at our own seats and the 2 performance songs were okay. It's just that Johnnie (afterward) said that he can't hear us, only can hear AJChoir singing.

I think I slept at around 1+ am that night, because I was chatting with Maung Myo for a long while before sleeping, haha.

Okay next day we had sectionals and practice. I realised I could sing quite high in real voice, even in the morning, haha. Anyway, we were brought to JusCo for shopping again because Miss Lau was afraid that we might need to buy some food or something. I went to play at the arcade instead. Lol.

Went back and realised I couldn't sing high notes. I think it's because I talked too much on the way back and forth. But doesn't really matter, I didn't have to sing that night, had to conduct.

I forgot why I was not in a good mood that night. Then during the performance it was worsened because the choir didn't do well for all the songs. Wind Beneath My Wings was flat for most of the parts even with the piano, Tantum Ergo was messy and Wawaki was rushing like crazy.

Decided to hang out a bit at Robin's apartment (also Eric's). Played cards with Robin, Jonathan Teo and Sherman Lim. Then Chan Wei came and Sherman went to sleep, so 4 of us played Daidee. Lights out was supposed to be at 10.30pm but we were still playing until 11pm when Miss Lau knocked onto the door. Chan Wei and my plan was to hide in the toilet with one of the members then someone to open the door and pretend everything was fine. In the end Eric didn't open the door at all and spoiled everything. Miss Lau waited in the living room, Chan Wei and I decided to own up while in the toilet. Well it's not exactly Eric's fault or what, it's our fault for staying up in their room and disrupt their supposedly sleeping time. Sorry!

Oh yeah, and Johnnie told me that the choir disappointed him, or something like that. I dun think that was his exact words, but I guess that's what he meant. I mean, his gang (or maybe it's him only) was cheering for us just before we went up to sing. Haix sorry sorry.

Okay so 2nd day was the worst day of the whole trip.

3rd day. Just jump straight to the SYF presentation night. Screwed up. For the whole of Credo I wasn't really singing but I was actually listening to the choir. The chords were very strange and off. Noyosa was better than Credo, managed not to rush because of constant reminders just before the performance, haha.

Decided to slack at Robin's apartment again. Chan Wei and I taught Jonathan and Sherman how to play bridge. Fun and strategic game. Not bad, both of them managed to learn quite fast. Well that's thanks to Chan Wei and me. =D

Oh yeah, Johnnie came to that apartment and said he was looking for me haha. I somehow knew what he was going to say, but I didn't think he said it lah. I was quite sleepy at that time also.

Went back and Miss Lau knocked on our apartment door and asked both Justin and I to check the bags for Asaph's handphone. Peng Hock and Maung Myo were sleeping very soundly lol, we were quite noisy but they still slept lol. Then didn't manage to find anything. I heard that both Teng Wei and Asaph lost a handphone and RM$50 each. Coincidental? Who stole them?

Went to sleep at the couch afterwards. Justin was watching the television waiting for a soccer match but I heard he fell asleep too lol.

Ok so anyway, we had 3 workshops on the 2nd and 3rd day, 1 for each of the clinicians, Mr Arwin Tan, Dr Wong Su San and Dr Joshua Habermann. All 3 of them did Credo, and the 2 guys did Noyosa. They are really quite patient with us, managed to learn many things from them. Thank you clinicians!

By the way, every morning I realised that it was Maung Myo who waked me up instead of vice versa. Haha I am such a leader =D.

Last day: went shopping at some place. Well, not really shopping. Arcade again. Oh damn I lost to Pock Thong in Daytona USA, racing game. So malu haha. Oh our bus air-con had some problems so we had to stop somewhere to change bus. Changed to a bus which was very clean and cold. Haha cool sia.

Reached VS at around 7.15pm. After some debriefing and stuffs like that, we were dismissed.

Overall, I think that even though we didn't do well for our presentation of songs, the festival had really served it's purpose: to prepare us for SYF 2007. Like what Mr Kwei said:

This is only the start of the journey.

Rumours were spreading about this group of TKSS girls who find Bing Xing cute or something. Haha. I think it started from Leon's group, where (someone said that) they said the girls asked, "Who was the guy at the 2nd row, from Soprano, wear spectacles and is quite tanned?"

TKSS did a song which includes 2 beautiful lines which sounded like "Peng Hock, Peng Hock, Peng Hock, etc".

I think AJChoir and VJChoir both sang a song each written by Ko Matsushita, the arranger for next year's SYF Secondary School choirs Set Piece, "Everyone Sang".

A group of us found a playground after supposedly only trying to walk on the bridge. Played there haha. There were 2 very unstable swings, a small little see-saw and a slide, which was quite fast. Neng Wei fell on his butt after sliding down lol. I managed to stabilise myself though lol.

Woo scary!

Yesterday I was on the 31 bus returning home from school. Suddenly, Gabriel SMSed me and asked, "Are you on the 31 bus?" Well, looks like he saw me from his parents' car, like what he told me. I wasn't really surprised though haha.

Then after around 10 minutes of bus ride, Clement SMSed me and asked, "Are you on the 31 bus?" Walao, he told me he was on his way home after fetching Maung Myo home.

This morning, I was on the 31 bus going to school when Johnnie called me, the conversation went like:

[Johnnie]: Hey, are you on the 31 bus?
[Me]: Yah, why?
[Johnnie]: Ohh, ok, look to your right.

I looked and saw his round head sticking out from the crowd of people (it was during peak hour so the bus was naturally crowded). And he was smiling at me spastically. Haha.

I think I am being followed... =O

Hmmm, the subject combinations for VS Sec 2s this year are out on the School Website. Congratulations to the 15 choir members who get into 8/9 subject combinations.

I think my iPod Mini needs a change of battery. I think I just charged it recently, and only listened to it for a few hours on the computer. Then today the battery went flat. Haha. So now I am charging it and listening to it on iTunes.

I can't post anything on the school forums. They said that I am not logged in. Switched to Internet Explorer then can. I'm not sure why they are so prejudiced against Mozilla Firefox... no, just kidding. I think there's something wrong with their server, that cannot sign me in to the forums automatically after I've signed in to the school website. Or maybe this is something to do with Firefox's new update. Well, I think I will continue to only read the threads and not post anything, since I am lazy to switch to IE to post. I am also lazy to contact the school administrator about it.

I think I will start using Blogger Beta from now on. The old address will still be up first, until I've settled with the template and stuffs here.
