One day I was surfing the web when I came across a video. Very funny. The "students" have to watch a video of someone learning English, and if they laugh, they will be whacked. [link]

From the comments made by other people, I learned that the "students" are actually comedians who are in a game show. So after watching that I went to search for other related videos, probably from the same series as this. Not bad, my search was quite fruitful. I just put a few that I find funny.

Bathroom surprise - not allowed to laugh. [link]

Fart in water - again, not allowed to laugh. [link]

Hamada arrives - the "teacher" is actually a player but he won some "electric shock" game, so he did not receive as much punishment as the others. [link]

One of the High School Series [a b c]

Silent Library Series - okay this time they are allowed to laugh but because they are in the library, they cannot laugh too loud. The loser for each round will have to do the action stated in the paper, while refraining from making too much noise. Some of the actions are in Japanese only, but you can more or less guessed that they are quite unpleasant. [1a 1b, 2, 3] *[4a 4b]

24-hour durable punishment - 4 people stuck in a room for 24 hours. Must escape when a devil appears, otherwise they would be punished. [a b c d e f]

Punishment in a haunted house - Everyone trying to scare Matsumoto, including Hamada, but in the end it backfired. [link] *Full version [a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p ]

Do feel free to go click on those under "related videos", most of them shouldn't be as funny as these. Haha. Enjoy.

It's not how good you are, it's how good you want to be.

Principal said this while talking to us Sec 3s in the hall yesterday, before we get back our report books. Very meaningful.

Reminds me that this holiday I have to play less though. Sigh.

This morning there was a temperature check in the school hall. So was there on Monday morning too. What happened on Monday morning was that I brought my thermometer (¾ of the hall didn't bring), and it was working well, until when I wanted to take my temperature. The thermometer showed Err, ah well, there's nothing much I could do so I just pretended my thermometer was working.

This morning I did the same thing. Then my thermometer worked after I "checked" my temperature. And the funny thing is that the unit changed from Fahrenheit to Centigrade, so my last taken temperature changed from 100.6 °F to 38.2 °C - I think it was taken quite long ago. Well, at least I know I didn't have fever these few days, dun have to specifically check.

So anyone who knows how to change its settings or whatsoever please do tell me :).

After that there was this Intensive HMT Lessons for HMT students. I, being in MT class, didn't have much to do so I followed Neng Wei, Roger and Ryan Lee to the posterior of the IT and ELDDS Rooms to play Bridge... the whole day! Can't believe that we played from around 8.30am to 10.45am, then ate something before playing again until 1.05pm. Quite funny because I brought a cup of Milo up after recess and had it stood on a chair beside me. Looks like I was in a resort whereby there's cocktail beside me, and we're all under the sun relaxing and playing cards.

Biology lecture started at 1.30pm, with Mr Gabriel as the lecturer. Quite interesting, and he kept digressing. For example, he wanted to explain that endocrime means "internal secretion", because of the prefix "endo-". Then he went on to explain that endothelium is the tissue that is found inside the body (like the blood vessels) and not exposed to the atmosphere, unlike the walls of the alimentary canal (the tissues are called epithelium). He demonstrated by drawing a picture on the transparency, which he kindly allowed me to take home for laughing purposes [see top of post].

Good news!

I dunno what happened, but my speakers/sound card is now fixed. Last time the pitch was raised by a few notches, then just now Eugene Hsu typed a message to me I heard the Messenger sound - it was different! As in, it went back to normal. Last night my sister was using the computer and I think she did something to the sound system.. I must ask her when she wakes up (yes, she's still sleeping).

**Update: I just realised (from my sister) that the pitching can be changed from a software that comes with my computer: Avance Sound Manager. For those who have, you can go to Start > Programs > Avance Sound Manager > Soundman to open it, then click on the Sound Effect Manager on the taskbar (the one that would have just appeared). Pitch can be adjusted by changing the "key". Gosh, my sister is more technologically advanced than me.

Anyway, the cbox is up. Feel free to tag.

After recess today there was this CIP Project in the school hall. It's basically an event organised by South East CDC, and that we're supposed to fold paper cranes, and every paper crane folded will contribute 1 bowl of rice to... somewhere poor, I guess. And once our class heard that, we were bursting with laughter. Our class folded 1300 cranes within 13000 seconds last time during the VS 130 Challenge, and they were left in class waiting to be incinerated. We thought they can be used to contribute the bowls of rice. I mean, at last the cranes are given away for something charitable, or so we thought.

A few of us went up to take the cranes, but soon after that Desmond came back saying that cranes have to be folded with the papers provided. Oh man.

Our class worked quite fast, I guess. I sort of needed some guide before managed to get my first crane today. Well, at least I folded around 10 cranes and taught Joshua and Jonathan how to fold :).

The volunteers were showing us this video on how to fold and at the same time, teaching us via the microphone. I think not many people got it. Plus Tan Wei Liang was mocking at one of their weird Chinese accent, which sounded quite awkward.

This activity was quite meaningful lah, but it's kinda tiring because we had to be in the hall for around 2 hours. I think I was there for around 1½ hours only because I went down to the hall quite late, staying in class to play bridge.

Anyway, I will be adding a tagboard soon. Tagboard will be for general chat, so any comments to individual posts can be posted by clicking on "comments".
